External fetal monitoring can be a challenge for any provider.

Constant adjustment due to the movement of either the pregnant woman or the active fetus. Pregnant woman will want to move through their labor and as providers we encourage movement. External monitoring however can pose a challenge when the transducers that are placed on the pregnant belly is constantly slipping and sliding. The ultrasound transducer requires ultrasonic gel to make contact and to conduct the information from the fetus to the external fetal monitor. Often the provider uses alot of ultrasonic gel, this results in a constant adjustment because the ultrasonic transducer has slipped or the fetus or woman is moving make tracking the fetus that much more difficult. The solution is the-addition.

the-addition contains the ultrasonic gel so when placed on the belly the ultrasound transducer does not slip. This allows a more constant tracing of the fetus and less adjustment from the provider. the-addition also contains the ultrasonic gel so there is less mess on the pregnant womans belly.
